About The Author
Hi! I’m Jess, I live in the UK, and I’m a massive film and book fanatic.
I’d like to think I’m quite friendly and I’ve been told my prompts are funny: but I’ll leave that up for you to decide!
Around three years ago now, I started this lovely blog because I fell in love with the idea of prompts. I found them so inspiring and funny and I loved how by writing prompts, it not only gave me a way to outlet my inspiration for when I couldn’t find the right words but it allowed me to explore all different genres of storytelling. Besides, there are no rules to writing prompts. The weirder, funnier, and unexpected the better! Prompts helped me develop my skills in which I had to tell a story in one or two sentences and it allowed me to get straight to the point with my writing. It made me fall back in love with writing and I loved hearing that my silly old prompts had helped other people with their endeavours too.
If you ever use my prompts for your work and publish those works on Tumblr, please credit me and link back to this blog. Not only would I love to give your work a read and reblog it to give it the wonderful attention it deserves, but I’d also love for some credit as these posts take a long time for me to write and I put a great deal of thought into them.
Think of this blog as a place for all things writing. As you can tell, there’s a lot of stuff here! I mostly write posts on AU prompts and there’s quite a lot of those! There’s a large variety of these prompts too. I have a masterlist of these prompts which you can find the link to on my navigation page. Never shy away from sending in requests, my inbox is always open! I sometimes create posts on writing tips, too.
I’d like to remind you that I am not a professional writer but I have been writing for a very long time and I wish to pursue a career in the writing industry. You are never obligated to take my advice but I do hope that my advice does help you in some way, even if you choose not to take it.
So, now that you know a little bit about me, let’s go through some basics.
You can always send me an ask. In fact, I encourage it! I’m always up for a bit of friendly conversation and general chatter, or you can ask me something about writing. Feel free to send in requests for AU prompts or send in an ask asking for some writing advice.
